For many years, FJS has been trying to finance a major building renovation that would lead to numerous benefits for our school. Our goal is to raise $250,000 by March 1st so phase 1 of the renovation can occur in the 2026 summer vacation.
- Beneficial Outcomes of Completed Renovations:
- Current bathrooms on school level only have 2 stalls in each for Men and Ladies which are still from the warehouse era. Expanded facilities will also meet accessibility requirements while providing nice, functional bathrooms.
- Current open space will become more usable space with an additional enclosed classroom.
- New double-pane windows will lower heating costs.
- A completed building will allow us to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy. This means our high school will be able to become fully registered in NY. Students will be eligible for free transportation options and other benefits.

I am so grateful for all that FJS has done for my family. My two boys joined FJS in April 2024, and even though it’s only been a short year and seven months, the changes and progress I’ve seen in them fill me with joy and pride! -FJS parent
